English Conversation B1.23

B1.23

Sue: What type of people don't you like?
Carol: I don't like people who are rude or people who have bad manners.
Sue: Neither do I. That's why I don't like my colleague June. She always asks for favors but never says please or thank you.
Carol: You should always say please when you ask for something and thank you when someone does something for you.
Sue: I agree. That's what I taught my children. Manners are so important.
Carol: Yes. And it takes no effort to say please and thank you. It's just polite.
