Phil: Which is harder, maths or English?
Tom: I suppose it depends on who you are. I find English quite easy but even basic maths can be a real struggle for me. On the other hand, my cousin James is very good at maths but finds spelling and grammar difficult.
Phil: Maybe it just depends on how your brain works.
Tom: I think it does. Some people just find one easier than the other. But there are some people who just seem to excel at everything and are good at both.
Phil: Yes, my friend Luke is like that. He got straight A's in his exams and is doing really well at university now.
