Preparing a CV

-          I think I need to get a new job.

-          Do you have a CV?

-          No.

-          Then you’ll need to write one. Most jobs require you to send a CV in when you apply.

-          What information should I include?

-          You need to list your qualifications and work experience and then write down why you would be good for that job.

-          Will I need to fill out an application form too?

-          Sometimes you will. It depends on the employer. If you make the shortlist, you’ll need to go for an interview.

-          I’d be nervous for an interview.

-          Everybody is nervous when they have a job interview. You just have to try to sound confident.

-          Ok. Well, I need to get my CV written first,so I’ll make a start on that now.

-          Good idea.
