Pete: Is watching a film on TV as good as watching it at the cinema?
Phil: No. It's much better to see it at the cinema. The sound and the effects aren't as good if you watch it at home.
Pete: Don't you have a surround sound system? Surely that makes it just as good to watch a film at home.
Phil: My surround system is one of the best you can buy but it doesn't compare with the cinema. And at home, I often get distracted if the phone rings or there's a knock at the door. At the cinema I know I won't get disturbed.
Pete: I find people at the cinema distracting as they rustle their sweets packets and get in the way of the screen when they go to the toilet.
Phil: That's true. But I still prefer to go to the cinema.
